EQUINOLOGY Equinology is a company dedicated to providing quality courses in horse health science and care worldwide. EQUESTRIAN LAND CONSERVATION RESOURCE (ELCR) Seeks to unify and engage the equestrian community as a proactive, nationwide force for land preservation. BAY AREA BARNS AND TRAILS (BABTT) A land and trails trust whose mission is to acquire and restore publicly accessible barns, stables, pastures, staging areas, horse camps and trails throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Mateo, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma Counties. As a result, BABTT is preserving and restoring natural areas and helping to acquire and maintain parks and public open space, working farms, ranches, equestrian facilities, trails and trailheads. THE NATURAL GAIT An equestrian retreat and educational center in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, offering workshops and clinics February through October. SILLY LITTLE SIGNS XENOPHON WEB SITE A site promoted by Klaus Balkenhol and Hans-Heinrich Isenbart "for the well-being of all horses." They call for "a return to the fundamental principles of classical equestrianism," and state that "only a supple horse can perform properly and remain healthy on the long-term," that "an appreciation of physical and psychological connections in the training of horses has to be revived, a love of the horse and the aesthetics of equestrian sport should become a focal point once again," and call for "horse-lovers throughout the world" to "unite in mutual pursuit of these aims." CLASSICAL DRESSAGE Sue Morris from the UK has an interesting site with interesting links to articles on a variety of subjects pertaining to dressage and horsemanship, mostly from the perspective of doing well by the horse. DANCING WITH HORSES Not just a web site, but an actual place where people who love to dance are choreographed with the movement of horses. They give performances with professional dancers, but also workshops for the interested around the United States. NICKER NETWORK Web site offering online video clips of all types of riding and horsemanship. THE REAL HORSE The Real Horse advertises horse trainer Rick Harper, but also lists MANY links to other related sites. Doris works with riders, teachers and business people across the U.S. on overcoming blocks to success in competitive and non-competitive settings.
